In the cryptocurrency world, tip bots are a crucial addition. It is an excellent way of introducing newcomers to an asset or reward content contributors. For fans of Ripple’s native asset, the XRP Tip Bot on Twitter has been of great value.
However, it appears that the account is now blocked and may not be restored. A workaround is available.
Twitter Bans the XRP Tip Bot Account
There appears to be a tug-of-war going on between Twitter and influential crypto-related accounts. Several users have been banned, blocked, or suspended in recent months. One of the most recent victims is the popular XRP Tip Bot account. Even today, the account remains suspended for “violating Twitter rules”.
According to the developer, Twitter considers this account to be impersonating. It is true that impersonation is a violating of the rules. The message also mentions how the account will not be restored. Whether that is a definitive decision, remains to be determined at this stage.

One would expect this block to prevent users from accessing the XRP Tip Bot. Thankfully, that is not the case at this time. There is a viable workaround, albeit it remains to be seen how long it will work for. After all, every activity associated with the hashtag will be monitored closely as well.
For the community, this is very good news. It shows that the developer behind this project can adapt to very tough situations. Moreover, it confirms that a suspended account can still be of great value in terms of tipping on social media. XRP Tips are still active on Twitter without any issues.

One has to wonder why the XRP Tip Bot account is suspended in the first place. It appears that someone reported the account. Otherwise, it cannot be accused of impersonating anyone. There has been a lot of hostility toward Ripple and XRP for many years now. This may be another example of some bad apples trying to disrupt the ecosystem.
